Recently, a small vignette of mine was selected to be shared by CaféLit, a site that pairs stories with beverages. As such, I am not going to share this little scribbling here, but will link to the site in case any of you are looking for some coffee-shop reading this lovely October afternoon. This piece is not much, perhaps, but it is yet another love letter to cozy coffee spots, friendly baristas, and the coming of my favourite season.
Read “Honey Oat Latte” here:

Autumn is also my favorite season…
the coolness-to-coldness, the brilliant color of the leaves…and so much more…and so many quotes from so many authors.
For example…
L M Montgomery: “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
—from Anne of Green Gables
Jane Austen:
“…autumn–that season of peculiar and inexhaustible influence on the mind of taste and tenderness–that season which has drawn from every poet worthy of being read some attempt at description, or some lines of feeling.”
—from ‘Persuasion’
Paul Dunbar:
” ‘Tis wealth enough of joy for me/
In [autumn] time to simply be.”
I tell my wife: “I love Fall-ing with you.”
